Information and Consent

for the Processing of Personal Data

We inform you that on Thursday 30/10/2025 and Friday 31/10/2025, NBG, in collaboration with the bodies participating in the Greek Fintech Hub initiative, is organizing the conference "Fintech Athens 4.0 | A.I. in Fintech", in the Main Building of the University of Athens and in NBG’s Karatzas Building.

In this context, National Bank of Greece SA, Aiolou 86, GR 10559 Athens GEMI No. 237901000, T: +30 210 3341000 (“the Bank”) as Data Controller, will collect, maintain and generally process the personal data which concern you and are included in the conference registration form and are such as are only absolutely necessary for the purpose of organizing and participating in said conference:

a. Name             b. Surname        c.  Company      d. Email.

Furthermore, please be advised that all or part of the conference will be video recorded and/or photographs will be taken, and said material may include participants attending the conference.

The audiovisual material (photos and video material) will be used for the purpose of promoting the conference through relevant publications, photo and video materials on the Bank's internal and external communication channels, and particularly on the www.nbg.gr website and on social media (YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X) and in press reports. 

In this context, and if you wish to be included in this audiovisual material, the collection and processing of your personal data by the Bank as per the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), shall be carried out based on your consent, as detailed below: Your consent does not constitute a condition for your participation, and you are entitled to revoke your consent at any time, without this affecting the legality of any processing that may have taken place on the basis of the consent prior to its being revoked.

In particular, the Bank, as Data Controller, will collect, maintain and generally process the personal data which concern you and are such as are only absolutely necessary for the following purposes of processing:

(i) Name (ii) Surname (iii) Video material and/or photo material from your participation in the said conference (iv)  Company (v) Email.

Purposes and legal basis for the processing:

The processing of your personal data, and in particular your full name, company name and e-mail address, is carried out after you submit your conference  registration form (execution of an agreement) exclusively for the purpose of organizing and participating in said conference.

If you expressly consent to your inclusion in the above Video and/or Photo Material, the processing of your full name, Company, e-mail address and your photo and/or the video material as above, is carried out exclusively for the purpose of promotion and advertising of said conference in the Bank's internal and external communication channels, as well as in press publications.

Recipients of the data:

In the context of carrying out the actions required for the purposes stated above, your personal data will be processed by companies partnered with the Bank, which will be co-organizing said conference and/or undertake the editing, final configuration, and promotion of the relevant audiovisual material, upon approval of the content by NBG.

Said personal data shall be processed exclusively for the aforesaid purposes and shall not be disclosed to other third parties, other than the above-mentioned companies partnered with the Bank for these purposes, with the exception of any obligation to disclose said data in accordance with the relevant provisions of the applicable legal and regulatory framework.

Data retention period

Said data concerning you, as well as the photographic and video material that will be created, will be kept in the Bank's records for as long as is absolutely necessary to achieve the purposes of processing, as well as for historical reasons.

Your rights:

As a Data Subject you can exercise the rights provided for in the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Following verification of your identity, you are entitled to access your personal data, i.e. you may request a copy of the personal data concerning you processed by the Bank in accordance with the above; to request amendment of any incorrect or incomplete data, and, if the conditions of the regulatory framework apply, exercise the rights to erase, restrict processing, request portability of your data, object to processing and ensure human intervention in automated processes.

In the event that you believe that the protection of your personal data has been compromised, you can refer, if you so wish, the matter to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (https://www.dpa.gr/).

Pursuant to the above information and provided you accept the said processing of your personal data by the Bank in the context of the aforesaid conference, you can provide your consent to your inclusion in the above audiovisual material, by clicking on the corresponding option displayed in the text of the conference registration form under the title "Information and Provision of Consent regarding the Processing of Personal Data  - Production and display of Video and/or photo material”.
